Educated at James Allen’s, a prestigious London girls’ day school, Mattie holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Birmingham and a TEFL qualification.

 

Mattie has been a private tutor for four years, offering English Literature and EAL lessons.  Her speciality is EAL tutoring, and she has experience helping children of all ages improve their English speaking, reading comprehension and writing skills.  Mattie prioritises building a rapport with her students to keep lessons engaging and enjoyable.  Having spent a year teaching EAL in both a primary school, and a private English centre in Vietnam, she has experience working with children with a range of abilities.  Mattie has particular expertise teaching Cambridge A1 to A2 standard courses.

 

Outside of teaching, Mattie enjoys reading and rock climbing.
